Please use the Family Group Worksheet to submit your family information or update any information you have come across in the Hout Family Archives. Once you have entered your informaiton or updated any information in the worksheet, please save the file, and then e-mail me the save Family Group Sheet. I will update / correct / add any information you submitted as soon as I am able.

Welcome to Hout.us, a family website for The Hout Family Archives. The Hout family started in Clearfield and then Emporium, Pennsylvania.  After some time off, Hout.us is back on-line with a new look. Sadly, I lost most of my web pages I had saved on the old hard-drive.  I have a feeling this new version of Hout.us won't be as well setup as the last one.  However, I do hope you enjoy this site.  Please E-mail me with your questions, comments and/or concerns.

As you know I have been researching the Hout family line as well as other branches since 1994.  This is a life long project, one that I love doing.  For my fellow genealogist out there, you know how I feel.   Shortly after I started researching I started a family newsletter called "Hout Happenings", which I have published here and there over the years.  I will be posting those on this site as well.  I'm going strictly digital with Hout Happenings since there are over 150 people I would have to mail them out to, and that gets expensive.

My research (The Hout Family Archives as I call it) is on this site.  Please click on "Family History" to review.  I will be working on an name index for the site, so you can browse for a name, click it and it will go right to his/her page. I did my best not to post birth dates of those under 70 years old.  If you find your birth dates listed and would like it to be removed from the site, please email. me.  On the old Hout.us website I had documents (WWI / WWII records, birth, marriage and death records, etc...) on the site. I'm currently in the process of converting those in to .pdf files so it will be easier to read them.  As always if you see data that needs to be corrected please contact me ASAP.

I'm sorry there isn't much more on this site other than my research, I had to get the site up quickly since I am meeting new cousins at the rate of 2 - 3 a week.

I will be posting pictures on the family pages I have put together. Please email me pictures for the site and other information you may have. 

Please feel free to sign the Hout.us Guest book and join the Discussion Forum.  You will need to sign up in order to post messages in the Discussion Forum.  After you get in to the Forum, click on "Sign In" in the upper right hand corner. Click on "Apply for membership".
