Hi Matthew,
My name is Bill Auman and I am researching the Emmert family of St. Marys, PA. This is not my direct line but two of my grandfathers first cousins were married to Emmert brothers and later moved to Illinois. I started working on all the early families of St. Marys of which the Emmerts are among the very early settlers. In compiling the Emmert family I noticed that Kasper Emmert (1819-1889) and Eva Pfaff Emmert (1822-1888) had a daughter Catherine Anna Emmert born Aug. 7, 1859 at St. Marys, Elk Co., PA. She was married to Martin Hout according to one of her siblings obituaries. I think she is the wife of the Martin Hout b. Jul. 16, 1856 at Clearfield, PA that your have listed on Rootsweb. I do not know much else about her other than she died some time between 1928 and 1935. I will check the St. Marys Cathoilc Church records for a marriage record of Catherine and Martin and also the records at St. Marks Church in Emporium, PA. I live in St. Marys which is
about 20 miles south east of Emporium. I would be glad to share any information I find if your are interested.

Info that I have regarding GEORGE S. BOTSFORD.I have two George S. Botsford both born 1879 and lived in Seattle area. One is son of Alonzo Botsford and Sarah Esther (Whitney) b. 1879 he mar. Edith Lawrence. Had 4 ch. George Sherwood b. 1905, James Lawrence 1906, Walter Sewall 1909. Elizabeth 1916 all born in Seattle. This George is to be part of our Henry Line Gen. (I have a copy only of the orig letter written 1909 by George S. Botsford giving this family data. The second George S. b. 1879 Sandwich Ill. m. FRANCES D. "Daisy" HOUT, son of David L. Botsford and Mary (Sherwood). David and Mary had grocery and Ice Creamery and restaurants in Seattle. Funeral Home (name?) states he was 93 at time of death. An Alberta (Botsford?) Brown (given as her married surname for her lst mar., b. 1929 or 1930. She came to Seattle in 1952 to stay with relatives. Her last name and address were Brown and 8824 Bothell Way, Seattle. That address belonged to George Sherwood Botsford about 71 at that time. lived in Seattle area until his death 1972. I do not know where this George belongs in our genealogy. It has been very confusing over the years to have 2 George S. Botsfords born same year and living in Seattle. If I can be of any further help let me know at botsy@optonline.net.
