Newspaper article Thurs., 10/30/1890
A body was found in the creek below Cameron, last Sunday, and the Coroner
summoned. The body was identified as John Hout, who had been missing several
days, and search was being made for him by his friends. He had been somewhat out
of his mind lately and had probably wandered off and was drowned by accident.
John was well known by the people of this county as a harmless, good fellow, but
drink was his great enemy and caused his ruin. He was for several years an
inmate of the Soldiers' Home at Erie.
